Worthless service. BBM and other messaging apps do this for free. SMS is a dying service, IMO.

But then both people have to use the same messaging app. Its so much easier to shoot a text then having to call someone and beg them to download the same app you use.

True. I just don't get why a consumer would need to message internationally. I have friends all over the world, but it's not like I need to tell them about the lunch date I just had. 🙄

Keeping in touch with friends and family is important to some people. Some people just don't like to talk on the phone and prefer to text. Just like me.

Two lacking companies combining into one will not make a true competitor. Both Sprint and T-Mobile have little to no coverage here.
