Oh man, that's incredible. I know they're only test speeds but that's just incredible. 140 mbps+?! I don't even know what you'd need more than 20 mbps for for a single household, let alone a single phone!

Amazing.

I really want to see how much it actually will be. I mean if they can do that as a constant, then it will be impressive.

If T-Mobiles network could actually have 4G beyond a downtown metro area instead of displaying the dreaded E.

I have T-Mobile and travel all over the country between major cities. I always have at least HSPA+ for at least 30mi outside of a majority of metro areas, and have been having increasing LTE as well.

My only complaint is the abysmal EDGE coverage on i10 between Phoenix and Los Angeles, if they'd at least get it up to working EDGE standards i'd be great with it, although i've learned that every carrier sucks on that patch of i10 in the middle of nowhere so it's not the biggest deal.

Brad. The coverage is even worse from Oxnard to SF going on the 101. If you take the 5 to SF forget you have a phone. The data coverage on the 5 for Tmobile is non existent where Verizon, Sprint, and ATT offer at least 3G.

That's the most frustrating part - where they actually have cells but haven't upgraded them. All around me is LTE, yet at my house I have 0-1 bars of 3G ("4G"), no LTE, and about 3 bars of 2G. This tells me that the best signal to my house is from a tower that is 2G only. If they could get all the refarming done, at least I'd have 3 bars of LTE.

It has improved a bit in my area where before just going down a block or two would drop me from 4G LTE to 2G. Now its a bit more consistent in the city area at least. But forget about it, when I go on trips specially away from major city locations 2G is what I get and at that point I just turn off my phone and forget I have one. lol.

You also need to remember that it's all about the backhaul! Areas on the I10 in BFE don't have fiber. They are probably running narrow bandwidth microwave daisy chained between their sites. Priority #1 will be voice calls and data is secondary. Yes it sucks but that's reality until the carriers and tower companies come together and front the money to build out the infrastructure.

Yes, microwave is getting faster but their funding priorites will always be in the metro areas (especially where they are seeing network congestion). It's just the way it is but I'm sure you "get it".

That's where the new 700 MHz spectrum will help in many places.

I guarantee those speeds will go down when more people start using LTE with T-Mobile and more MetroPCS user start getting T-Mobile compatible phones. If T-Mobile can keep the speeds up, then and only then will they earn those braggings rights.

Time will tell.

Yes, the Speeds have already gone down noticeably. Last year when they first upgraded my area to 4G LTE I was getting speeds ranging from 10-25 Mbps. Now I get lucky if it reaches 6-8 mbps haha. Its still fast enough though I am not complaining. But my buddy with Sprint Spark is pulling in 40-50 mbps! To bad Sprint doesn't have 4G LTE or Spark in more locations. x)

Yes that is nice and yes that is if 1 person is on the network. The real test when enough devices are able to pick it up and see what it is during business hours in the day. Either way I'm sure it will average around 7-10 mbs which should be enough for 99% of the population
