I think the discount only applies to the additional line.

So, if you get two lines the total is $105, as opposed to $100.

But it's still a service discount any way you slice it.

I'm currently getting unlimited data on two lines for $130, with an additional $10 per line premium device fee, which comes to $150. Under this plan it would be $55 + $20 for unlimited data + $50 + $20 for unlimited data, which comes to $145. I may try to switch my plan and save some money.

No, the discount applies to all the lines. This plan is a no contract option and does not include an upgrade so you must add the cost of the phone if you finance, bring your own phone or purchase a device at full retail price.

You are correct in the pricing. The Article is not right. The cost is $55 if you get only one line. As you add more people to it the cost of the plan decreases $5 per line. So if you have 3 people each line pays $45, if you have 10 people in your group each line pays $25 per line.

So you are paying $250 total for 10 people with unlimited minutes, text messaging, and 1GB of data INSANE!!!!

Sprint is killing it right now. Their answer to Tmobiles plan options with no contract that allow you to bring your own phone (sprint certified phone) or buy one via Easy Pay installments

The buy up options are $10 for an additional 2GB of data per line or you can upgrade to unlimited with included annual upgrade for $20.

This is a NO CONTRACT...

Does every line get 1 GB, or is it shared across all lines?

The documentation over at Sprint appears to insinuate that its 1GB per line.

Sprint doesn't offer shared data. Each line will have 1GB of data.

This is looking like an even more wild idea the more I look into it. They even split the bill and can send separate invoices to each member of the "framily" if need be. This sounds really awesome.
