There is better applications for sharing information though actual NFC tech 🙂

They make them better and shut down the old outdated apps that no longer have a purpose with the new features the smart phones offer. Was never a fan of Bump it didnt work well and had so many limits. It was more of a gimmick to me.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that Bump was the service iPhone users were using to compensate for the fact they didn't have NFC and to emulate the Beam functionality natively built into Android. The idea would obviously be that iOS users would be more compelled to either demand NFC capable devices or switch to Android. Of course this is entirely speculation.
