This watch compared to the Gear... no comparison it can't even pull up text messages or email without glitching out on you every time. Not worth the purchase plus the quality of the device is so low quality I would feel embarrassed just wearing it.

Poor attempt by Apple to make it seem like their device has a watch comparable to the Galaxy Gear.

Apple? What? It sounds like you think the Pebble is manufactured by Apple, which it isn't. It's for android devices. And it's not that bad. It sounds like you're judging it based solely on the fact that you thought it was Apple, which it isn't in the first place.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I can't really see the point of a 'smart watch'.....I already have my phone, if I need to check the time, I look at my phone, if I need to check my email, I look at my phone. If I am somewhere where I can't look at my phone, then I won't be able to look at my watch either. What exactly is the point of a smart watch? It doesn't really seem to have one.

Yeah, they're cool and all but they don't seem very practical. It would be neat to talk into your watch a la Dick Tracy.

I wear a normal watch because it faster and it saves my phones battery from powering up the screen. Plus their are times a glance at my wrist is more appropriate then pulling a phone out of my pocket. So the reason I see for getting a smart watch is to save your phones battery, by glancing at your wrist see the time and if you have notifications.

I got a smart watch because down here you get kill for a smart phone and I ride the Bus sometimes and thats where you get jack.
Its better for me to just check my notifications on my watch and check out the feeds on my watch with out touching my phone.
and the last thing we are not allow to take out our phones at the jobsite

Right now it cost $150 through best buy. However when you compare it to the quality and what it can do it should be worth less than $100.

I got a chance to play with it and returned it right away. At the time my Note 2 did not offer compatibility with the Gear watch. That changed, I then got a Gear watch and WOW.

Absolutely nothing is comparable. Gear watch out performs everything the Pebble has to offer.

I know this. That is why I said it looks like Apple is trying to make it seem like they have a watch for their phone. The Pebble is a mediocre piece of equipment that works via Bluetooth with any Android, iPhone, and Windows phone. Apple is simply releasing an SDK to develop apps for the device. However, it in no way shape or form compares to what the Gear can do.
