Sprint and Dish to Trial LTE 4G Broadband to Homes
Interesting.
anybody know?
Although, for someone getting wireless broadband, the 60Mbps should be plenty compared to their other options where they'd need to go wireless.
I would gladly take 20mbps wireless over 1.5mbps DSL.
Also, the Dolphin browser get an update recently and webpages load much, much faster than before!

I wonder how that will all work out and would this Dish equipment allow Sprints LTE network to provide speeds higher than the possible speeds on their towers 60Mbps?
anybody know?
Essentially, adding a directional antenna at the home just extends the range at which existing speeds can be delivered.
For example, if an LTE tower is in a place where it can provide 50 Mbps to a user 1 mile away, 25 Mbps to a customer 2 miles away and 10 Mbps to a customer 3 miles away, then adding a fixed, directional antenna could give 2x or 3x the range for the same tower, at the same service quality.
For example, the 50Mbps speed would then be available up to 2.5 miles away, the 25 Mbps speeds up to 5...
