Sprint to Sell New Spark-Compatible Galaxy S4
this is messed up
I believe the older model does support dual-band (800/1900) LTE, which is better than Sprint's many single-band (1900-only) LTE phones.
Spark is just Sprint's branding for tri-band LTE.
So with the older S 4, you're getting access to two out of Sprint's three LTE bands. And those two bands do offer full coverage. That third band in the newer model mostly just offers better capacity in urban areas, for faster speeds during peak times.
