AT&T: Device Subsidies Likely to Go Away

The fact of the matter is that the market is changing, the old market was based on people who had feature phones, which may not have been used all that much anyway, and had no texting or data plans, or maybe even had a text or data block. These customers are not willing to pay for a phone, because they don't think that the phones have any real value, and thus the only way to get them to sign up was by throwing 'free' phones and 2 year contracts at them....these are the classic 'I only have a cell phone for emergencies' customers...

Which economics class was it that you failed again? Having the best price for every customer is usually the primary goal of every business in a free market.
You're supposedly trying to make the case that ATT isn't shafting it's customers. But the only case you're making is that you agree with ATT sticking it to its customers and that any customers who don't bend over and spread their legs are grubby sli...
