No big deal for many, a huge deal for some. I personally don't like having the option taken away from me.
I do agree seems to be a trend from all the major players except for Samsung. Having an extra battery is not the issue, I have car adaptors, extra usb charger at work, and one of those portable battery blocks that I use now and then. While not having a removable battery is not a deal breaker, its nice to have it for as said earlier, easier to replace a bad battery without having to run in circles to have it done by either the company or some after market repair place along with the added expense if post warranty, or having to be without a phone for a few days or longer. Sadly the ownly major player that well replace the battery either in a warranty swap at an Apple Store, or they will fix it within a few hours. And thats...

We have a couple of Apple laptops around here with the internal batteries that are getting older. They are facing a $200 replacement cost vs. almost half that for the removable type. Big hassle. Don't like the trend but I am sure its only going to get worse.
