Seems like the same / similar processor to the HTC One, which is a blazing fast smartphone. Blazing. You must be running some high polygon count apps on your phone for calling a 1.7Ghz Quad-Core processor "Slow". The mobile processors in phones today are faster than many peoples home computers. I have no idea how anybody could be upset, or think that this kind of processor might be slow.

Yea, it's a 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 processor. I received my Note 3 in the mail today and it has a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800. I would want the same in any Premium device. And while you may be impressed by the HTC One, I'm not.

What has polygon count got to do with the speed of the processor? That's graphics.

Nothing about this phone is "industry standard". It should have the highest end processor available. If not, then why are there high end processors to begin with. People who are happy with the status quo buy iPhones. What excites me are devices that break the mold and deliver on every front. If wanting the best performance possible is snobby, then consider me an elitist. But its better than being a snob about mediocre technology.
