I don't see where is the loss of profit, I you get your device stolen and you triger the kill switch, awsome the theif can't make a profit of it but you still don't have a phone. So you still have to call the insurace company (If you have it) pay the deductible and get another phone back. It's not that getting a phone stolen it's the only reason people get insurance like myself, I have insurance because I have stomatch hands and destroy everything I touch.

I just think it's bullshit.

Plus, if you make the phone unusable to the thief, he/she will have to buy a legit one. There's your profit!

I think the story is complete nonsense, it doesn't even make sense, if a phone is lost or stolen and cannot be recovered, the customer still needs a new phone. The addition of a kill switch does not in any way suggest or imply that the phone doesn't need to be replaced. In absolutely no way does a kill switch have any effect on whether or not one needs wireless insurance.
