They will probably say 'X' phone or 'Y' phone contains it even though they may be only guessing. Whatever it takes to hurt the competition. Pure ridiculous.

Unfortunately, the Obama administration will give Apple everything it wants, regardless of whether or not Apple's wishes are anti-competitive. A perfect reason to vote Republican in 2016.

The point, you´re missing it.

It´s not whether the phone that will get banned are actually manufactured or even in the market anymore. It´s the fact that they will let Apple to get away with this facade.

Apple is butthurt Samsung is gaining ground and now that their gold egg-laying goose is gone (Steve Jobs) they are struggling to keep control on a market that's slowly dripping away from their slick fingers.

Allowing Apple to use this "patent infringement" travesty to put a ban and gain some lost control over the mobile phone market will only prove that with enough money even the laws can be bought.

In truth Steve Jobs was nothing more than a marketer, he had little to do with the development of new devices. He did, in his second run as Apple CEO, have a gift for finding talented people to put in charge of developing new products, but he didn't actually design the products himself or anything. So I don't think it is accurate to say that Steve Jobs was 'the goose that laid the golden egg'.

Which is why I never actually said he developed/manufactured/spearheaded any Apple development. Apple products are NOT the best on the market, but it was Job's silver-tongued presentations and amiable (yet not at all approachable) demeanor that skyrocketed it's popularity among the gadget-feeding sheeple.

He played a HUGE part in placing Apple on the post where it needed to be to avoid bankruptcy. They owe the guy their living!

Which is why I compared him to the fabled goose that produced golden eggs. (Steve Wozniak´s underrated genius notwithstanding)

How has Apple lost control over the mobile market when they are gaining marketshare and everybody else is losing marketshare.

Give it time, you'll see. Ppl are looking for alternatives already, Apple may currently be on the peak but they know it's downhill form here. I'm not saying Apple will cease to exist or anything of the sort, but I am saying that it's days as market leader are numbered.

They know it, otherwise why insist so much on these kind of cases if not to exercise some control over "rival" companies, using the rival term loosely since we all know iPhones work with Samsung-developed technology (totally non-hypocritical from Apple btw).

It's amongst the biggest douchebag moves this side of Thomas Edison (inventor of being a d!ck)

If ppl are looking for alternatives why are they gaining marketshare while Android is losing marketshare?

Have you seen how much Samsung has copied Apple? During the trial they showed how Samsung explicitly said they are copying Apple.

Look I can see this is heading into flame war territory and I want to avoid that as much as possible.

I'll just let time speak for itself.

P.S.: Like Apple should talk about who copied off who...

No not turning into a flame war. You are just making unfounded comments.

Really who has Apple copied from?

I did. All it shows it about it copying stuff for ios 7. They figured if you are ok with Samsung copying everything from Apple they should do it too.

🤣

Now I get it.

I did not mean Apple copying Samsung, I meant Apple copying everyone else, from Nokia to Microsoft, look it up.

Yeah but the big difference is that Samsung intentially copied Apple to trick and confuse customers to buy their products.

Apple copied and improved upon the design. making Microsoft, Nokia, and Samsung looking like chumps.
