Ting rocks!

One issue -- Sprint does not use SIM cards, and neither does Ting. Ting only works with Sprint phones or (some) other Sprint MVNOs. Read up before you buy a phone to use on Ting!

I love Ting! If you're on Sprint and out of contract, you should look hard at it. They use tiered pricing so you only pay for what you use, and you can activate most Sprint phones on their network. Their fees are limited to only what the government makes them charge, plus $6 per line. My bill for last month was only $12! Biggest downside is the large upfront cost if you want a new phone, but you can buy used ones off Glyde or eBay.

If you're interested, here's a link that will get you $25 off your first bill:

Hey Jeremy. I'm Justen, the product manager for Ting. Just a quick clarification: all of our LTE devices either have a removable SIM or an embedded ICC ID.

The Nexus 5 is the first device that we've ever activated that can (and often is) shipped without a SIM card... That's why we've ramped up support for stocking and shipping SIM cards just for the Nexus 5.

Hope that helps. 🙂
