does this mean since the 2 companys are merging on friday that starting friday that sprint and nextel will beable to use the walkie talkie feature toghether?(like spint to nextel/nextel to sprint)
Actually, dear phone friends.... I spoke with my Sprint rep on Monday about this very topic... ReadyLink will *never* be able to interface with DirectConnect. Period. He is unsure about the mobile2mobile that the combined company will offer, but that it will be there. Eventually, they will be offering dual mode PTT phones (CDMA for phone, and iDEN for radio) so current Nextel subscribers should see a better, brighter coverage future.
Also, reps selling Sprint now will be seeing Nextel products coming in to be sold alongside the current Sprint offerings, as with Nextel reps getting the Sprint stuff..
Thought I'd help out some on this confusing, yet fun to watch, merger. Any questions, feel free to PM me
