Design is actually pretty nice

Mine just arrived, I'd say the design of this phone is leagues better than anything Samsung made (especially the craptastic Note 3 with its nasty fake leatherette complete with crappy fake stitching) - the front end is a lot cleaner than the Moto X, the plastics feel nice (remember the HTC One X Similar feel?) , and there's none of the ergonomic screw-ups of the HTC One (power button) , it's very very solid.

nowhere close to the iPhone, that fake leather is super cheap, along with the plastic Samsung likes to use. But the iPhone isnt the cream of the crop, the iPhone 5/5s are up there but, material/build quality go Nokia with the Polycarbonate used in the 920

I couldn't give a flying flip what my phone is made of, and never will. "DESIGN" consists of much much much more than what kind of plastic you use. I'm so sick of people who talk about the aesthetic and artistic qualities of a device as "design". Engineers design things. Marketing departments screw them up with their "art". Art and design are NOT the same thing. The real design of the Note 3 is a superior one. The real "hardware" is the best on the market right now. Why phone enthusiasts think they can hijack technical terminology and twist it into whatever they like is beyond me... or maybe it's not considering that it's Apple's mantra and most of the people who do this are drinking the koolaid.

I think somebody has been drinking a littlebit to much of the samsung koolaid. Most people base there phone purchase of two things the features they want(examples: screen size, OS, battery life, DNLA, NFC, IR Blaster, apps, camera, custamization, internal hardware) and each person prioritize those differently. The second thing is how the phone looks and feels in there hand.

Engineers design the way the phone looks and what they make it out of not artist, Art and design are not always the same thing but they can be, and the...
