Everyone comes into these forums wanting a chance to disect Sprint and decide what Sprint maybe thinking. However, I can assure you that nobody knows the position Sprint is in more than Sprint. Do people really think Sprint is trying to lose subs intentionally? This type of technology doesn't happen over overnight. They've acquired an enormous amount assets in the last two years and have had to engineer it to work together far more harder than the two largest carriers that have indispensible cash to just purchase choice spectrum and other carriers. While Sprint was messing around with an outdated technology deploying it over garbage 2.5GHz spectrum no carrier in their right minds would ever use, T-Mobile was preparing for the future ensuring the fiber was in place and it paid off. Not only is T-Mobile ahead of Sprint in LTE deployment they have a nice HSPA+ network to fall back on.
