I honestly think these leaks, are not an accident, but done on purpose to tweak people;s intetest.

Back to the N5, does look like a nice phone at a great price, but even if I was going to order one, and probably will, I won't be an early adopter, maybe wait a month or so. Let others take the chance that there could be issues with a new phone. Friend just got a G2 on VZW, really nice phone, and since its the basis of the N5, at least gave me an oppertunity to see the devices basics. I do know there are camera differences, and placement of buttons.

I have the Nexus 4, and I got it several months after launch, in June. I'm not one of those people who feels the need to upgrade his devices every time a new one comes out - I have more important expenditures to make. If I were planning on buying it, though, I'd be disappointed at the apparent lack of a 32 GB model yet again. I know Google wants us to use the cloud, yadda yadda, but that really shouldn't be our only option.

I don't get the obsession with the cloud myself, it is promoted as if it is this new, radical step forward, but it is actually a step back to the 1970's, I was quite happy when we moved away from dumb terminals and thin clients, I don't want to go back, and I don't why going back to that old model is supposed to be considered a step forward. What next, re-introduce punch cards?

And they will cost 3 times as much as the punch cards for Android.

I can hear it now.....'Apple's new punch card system is the most revolutionary idea since the Big Bang, in fact these punch cards are so revolutionary that they actually alter travel backwards in time to the moment of the Big Bang and fundamentally transform the very nature of reality as we know it.

I'm a bad typist 😁

It was supposed to be 'so revolutionary they actually travel backwards in time to the moment of the Big Bang and fundamentally transform reality as we know it'

The idea being that Apple is claiming that their technology is so 'revolutionary' that it actually changes the nature of the universe.

They change the nature of sales, that's for sure!
Despite the lack of features and screen res compared to the competition, iSheeps keep buying those things. You have to admit that Apple knows how to sell. Heck! They can convince their folowers of buying a paper towel for $500 if they want to!

The NEW iTowel is a revolutionary product that absorbs LTE at blazing speed! Forget about other "useless" features such as NFC and Full HD screens. The iTowel has just what YOU want. Why? Because we say so! Get yours starting at $500.

The thing that irritates me the most about Apple, and the reason why they keep falling into the pattern of becoming wildly popular and then crashing and burning is that they reject the open standards which are used by literally everyone else and constantly try to force everyone to use their own proprietary standard....there are tons of examples of this even today....

They downplay USB I(the open standard) in favor of first Firewire and now Thunderbolt (their own proprietary standard)

They downplay text messaging (an open standard available on all carriers and manufacturers) in favor of iMessage, their own closed, proprietary standard

They downplay Skype (probably wouldn't be considered a standard, but is nevertheless available on ev...

That's exactly what makes Apple users feel so "Elite", the fact that an Apple can only communicate with another Apple. 🙄

🙄 This is why I stopped caring about the comments on this site. Often times it just turns into a vapid apple, att or vzw bashing session and nothing worhtwhile is ever said.

I hardly think there is anything 'vapid' in the complaint that Apple makes war on open standards and tries to forces everyone into their own proprietary standards. That is in fact a very serious and substantive complaint, the exact opposite of 'vapidity'.

it's the same comments for the past 3 years i have been on this site. if you dont like apple don't buy apple. I opened the comment field for this article to see what people had to say about the nexus 5. it turned into "we hate apple and here's why." i fail to see the relevancy to the nexus 5. hence the vapidity.

There's nothing to be said about the Nexus 5 because we know nothing about it, hence the joking around about adding a punch card reader to the iPhone......come on, that's funny, get a sense of humor man. 🤣

Besides, just because you made the first comment on a thread doesn't mean you suddenly own it and can control what others say, you elitist Apple snob 😛

Edit: I checked the comments on the thread and you don't even have one anywhere close to the top. What do you mean you opened the comments? Are you a mod, or just confused?

Yea but this is really nothing new. Anyone catch the commercial where Apple was touting that they invented noise cancellation? Next up, iFire and the iWheel.
