From the phone they make you get to the plan, Republic is considerably better. Granted, I don't use Republic so I can't comment as an actual customer. Last I heard it was still "beta" and my friend was on a waiting list. But, if it's actually open now, it would be significantly better.

I haven't herd of Republic, do you know if this is something that is only offered on the East coast?

Midwest here, and my friend was trying to sign up. Like I said - I really haven't looked into it very much so I can't tell you if it's out of beta now, or whatever. I just know that if it works as advertised it would be a lot better than Scratch.
