Another Worthless App

Another worthless chat app that no one wants or needs.

Lets be honest here. Sprint should stick to rate plans and deploying LTE and fixing their obsolete CDMA network.

Creating and marketing another chat app that no one is going to use, no one wants, and ironically isnt even in the Play Store (nope, I checked), is not going to really win any customers or get us to subscribe to it.

With WhatsApp and iMessage being the biggest messaging apps out there, we dont really need Messaging Plus, ChatOn or even BlackBerry Messenger (which is never getting launched).
With Skype and Facetime, no one really needs another video app either.

Thanks Sprint for spending money on another service no one really wants or needs. Its nice to know yo...

I think you are missing the point. Sprint didnt spend any resources on this and it is to help all Sprint customers with having the ability to communicate with anyone including love ones in Mexico with the ability to text, chat, IM, and send documents over this app. All those apps you mentioned are either exclusive to that specific type of operating system or in my experience like with WhatsApp it is limited and or force closes all the time. Most customers such as the older demographic are not savvy enough they can do that so the phones would already have them.

This is a huge plus for any Sprint customer specially the first time smart phone users and or any other smart phone users that wants a good messaging app that works and wont crash/...

Maybe - however, there are many, many other free apps that are available that do exactly that, and more.

Off the top of my head? Text plus. I could probably think of more. Their app is redundant to the Nth degree.

All these Sprint related headlines on Phone Scoop, none are related to LTE, smh!!! Notice how fast T-Mobile covered probably more than three times Sprints LTE in a short period of time?

It's just pathetic that Tmo can deploy LTE so fast, in such a short period of time, but Sprint, a larger carrier can't.

lol, Tmobile has a much smaller footprint with spotty coverage and 4G LTE that disappears the moment you get in your car. Im not impressed. I like the speeds but needs more consistency and wider geographic coverage area to even say Tmobile did a good job.

I know I have gotten it inside my home. A few times. But never consistent to the point where I always have to use WiFi. If it wasnt for WiFi my Tmbile phone would be useless indoors. Dont even get me started with traveling long distances from San Diego to San Francisco there are huge gaps in coverage. To the point where when I need my phone most I have Edge and only 1 bar.... x.x

Text plus has the same type of restrictions you get 1 minute of free calling then you have to buy credits. Also you get a new number every time you send a text message and group messaging is garbage on that app. Sprints app works better and has usage of all those features at no additional charge for Sprint users.

I'm not going to disagree with you on the dubious need for this app, but it is in fact available in the Play Store. I just did a search for "messaging plus" and found it without any problem. Maybe they didn't post it until after you'd searched.

Yes, the app is there for everyone to download. However Sprint has taken the initiative to include this app in new phones so that a customer doesnt have to go find an all in one app in the market to use all those great features smart phones offer now a days. Not all customers are savvy smart phone users.
