Premium device?

-"The Apple iPhone 5s is an excellent device, as long as you're OK with the limitations of Apple's hardware and software."

That doesn't sounds convincing, nor like a "Quality"/"Premium" device. A "Quality" device should allow me to do more with it, at least be on par with the competition.

-"Performance of iOS 7 on the iPhone 5s was a bit uneven. The first version of any major new operating system from Apple is typically buggy, and iOS 7 is no different. Despite updating to 7.0.1 right away, the iPhone 5s had plenty of app crashes (including Apple stuff like the Settings menu and Safari.) There were some jitters here and there, and the screen transitions -- especially the ones that occur when you jump to/from the home screen -- were som...

The build quality and premium feel of the original Iphone 5 is yet to be surpased. The 5s is the same hardware (mostly) so yes. It is a premium device.

Nonsense. You can't put an inferior device in a nice case and call it premium.

Well, everything is possible in the industry.

Remember "Vertu" phones?
In-gold-clad feature phones (or early smartphones). They had a skin-deep premium feel, though, they were just phones after all.

Hahaha. Are you really serious? Like for real? Like in this reality? The premium fel is yet to be surpassed? Have you ever held the HTC ONE? It feels way better in the hand. The iPhone 5 feels like an aluminum rectangle and doesn't feel anywhere near as good as the HTC ONE. Yes the Aluminum is good but the ONE has that and curves in the hand better.

The materials used by HTC are the same as the ones used by Apple for the Iphone. Aluminum and polycarbonate.

The rear shell of the HTC one is curved, though, the phone is big. The curved back is necessary for the phone to rest well in the hand.
The front of the phone fits a bit more unevenly with the back chasis, and you can tell by just looking at it. It is a top-notch device, but obviously, the Iphone still has better looks than the One.
In my opinion, a device that looks and feels better than the two mentioned above is the One Mini. It's my favourite hardware (external hardware) to date. I wish it had better battery life.

That's all subjective bull crap. I handled all those phones in the store and felt that the Galaxy SIV had the more "premium" feel. There is no definitive proof as to which phone is the most "premium," only opinions. The truth is that most high end phones are well built, but some people will prefer one over the other. Why everyone places such a high value on such a minuscule aspect of the device is far beyond me. It's only even a consideration for me if all other factors are equal, which they never are.

You seem to be forgettin' that a "Premium" device is not just a fancy casing. What feels good is subjective, what may feel good to you may feel like sh*t to somebody else, what determines a "Premium" devices goes beyond that.
A "Premium" device should have a casing that's sufficient to make the device last (polycarbonate is a good material for this) and a software that sums all the technological improvements.

Having a metal case is not good for a smartphone, as metal is a great heat conductor and may lead to the phone to overheat (damaging the battery and so), plus, it also blocks/weakens some wireless signals. Besides the thing with sealed battery, inexpandible memory and so...
So that subjective "Premium" feel of the iPhone's case kil...

That strong language makes me think that you take everything quite personal.
One question comes to my mind, though.

Why you mad bro? 🤨

Why do I have to be mad? You don't have to be mad to be condescending and cynical, you know. ;)
