The cost of the phone up front is $700. Sprint is charging half for the phone on contract? ridiculous

Sprint has always been that way, spend a little more upfront, and pay less each month than the big two.

I'd rather pay a little more for the hardware, keep my unlimited data, and have LTE instead of pay a little less for the phone and capped data.
