It will be interesting to see how this works out. I guess my biggest questions is, how much will it stand out from Android or iOS. I purposefully left out WP, only because I imagine Sailfish adopting something closer to the before mentioned OS's. I would hope that they will try and stand out, or they may just get lost in the see of Android devices. Besides that, what will they offer different from Android, if they are going to be able to run Android apps?

Right now, I prefer WP. Mainly because it is different and I curious to see what they do with it years down the road. Yes, I said years.

I do like the idea of more options. Just wish BlackBerry had put out Q10 three years ago, I may have stuck with them.

This is HUGE. They did a lot of work to make it work well and were thinking about ease of adoption and cheaper component prices. It will make it easier for any big or medium sized manufacturer to see if Sailfish OS is a viable option. I hope I can purchase their handset soon after it becomes available.
