Verizon Total Mobile Protection Adds Device Coaching
Babying Customers?
Okay, so I look at this as being a hybrid of Sprint Ready Now (which to date, not a single Sprint employee ever offered to give me Ready Now service), and T-Mobile JUMP.
Either way, I find it insulting and condescending that they are offering a plan, a plan one must pay for, to have a tech support person baby you into how to take care of your device and what not to download.
As we all know, Verizon is all about locking down its devices and network - so having someone say, "Oh you shouldnt download that app, it could be harmful" is like another way of them coddling their network and saying, "No tethering, no Google Wallet"

Then it's not for you. Do you do all your own auto repairs too? What about your refrigerator? The fact is most people have neither the time nor inclination to learn how every piece of technology they use works and how to fix it when something goes wrong.
