Every iPhone has been noticeably faster than its predecessors. I would expect it to be as they offer new phones once a year. But since Apple doesn't make their own processors , and other manufacturers offer new phones many times a year, I would also expect that a new flagship phone(Samsung for example), will match the iPhone speed within two months. Samsung designs and makes their own chips. Chips that Apple relied heavily on. I suspect that Samsung will have chips twice or three times as fast as the iPhone5s before the next iphone. In fact, Samsung already has claimed rights to an octo processor that will utilize all 8 cores simultaneously.
I hate repeating myself, but, do tech geeks really think speed or features will not move ahead from here or any other of the past iphones? I'm surprised if they didn't. Bragging rights to the iPhone is misaligned reality. In another month, I will most likely be able to purchase a phone that does the very same thing or more. Then iPhone will rival, then another will rival the iPhone once again. Why brag on something that will be no further ahead in 6 months time?
So, one person has an iphone and another has a S4. In the end, we all put our pants on the same way. And we all get from point A to point B regardless of what device we own.
