Granted I think we all knew this was coming but still. Yes is it faster and have better hardware and yes does apple usually only do major redesigns every other year, but the same size yet again and nothing really outstanding. From an Apple fan I'm disappointed

With a smaller screen, fewer processors, non-expandable memory and a non-replaceable battery.

Pretty much every high-end Android manufacturer has better, more versatile and expandable hardware. The only feature they're lacking that the 5S has is a 64bit processor (cool but not necessary) and fingerprint security (very cool but again not necessary).

For all the issues with Apple puts people thru with transfering data on to and off of their devices I expect a bit more sometimes. Move files on an Android and then try to on an Apple and see which you like more and I love my iPhones

HTC One and Mini doesn't have expandable memory port, they also have a sealed battery.

The new LG phone doesn't have such features.

There are many Android phones with these features (majority of them), but not all.

Not true at all. Those features are dwindling away with a few of the manufacturers now.

Yea but there's also no telling when they will resurface. Besides, every manufacturer that currently produces a device without removable battery or expandable storage is also making many devices with those features. Other than Apple, most manufacturers will listen to their customers. And the ones that don't will get buried by the ones, like Samsung, that do.

LOL. Lag. What is that? I have an HTC ONE. There is no lag. No lag on the Moto X. No lag on the Nexus 4. No lag on the Galaxy S4.

Who needs expandable memory when my HTC ONE comes with 32GB of storage?

I think arox413's gripe is that fanboys will flock to this device as if it is the end-all-be-all device (as they did with the edge,3g,3gs,4, 4s and 5) and all apple seems to do is make a phone that catches up to the tech that has been on the market for four to five months already. i.e. the s4, htc one, note, moto x etc. Hell even the Motorola Atrix had their ver of fingerprint recognition in back in 2011.

Granted I know that they have never acted as though they were going to throw out something crazy innovative... but they amount of sales does not match up to tech being dished out. It is time you fanboys start to stifle your boners are start to demand true innovation.

Hell I'll settle for a comparable screen to current devices on the market and an easy way to move music and movies onto the phone.

Why not settle for a device that actually meets your needs? Come on over to the light side. You might find that masochism isn't all it's cracked up to be after all.

i will have to agree to disagree, you are right when it comes to the Tech spec wars apple was behind, i say was because intell the 5S they have almays used a slower processor, but they also never need to, the iphone 5 is as fast as the S4, apple is all about experiance, and efficiency over tech numbers

No the iPhone 5 is as fast as the sIII not the 4. The s4 is 3 times faster than the sIII.

The problem is that your argument is entirely subjective. You posit that the iPhone 5 "seems" just as fast as the GS4, and that it's screen "seems" just as good. But anyone with a discerning eye, has exactly the opposite opinion as yours. The difference is cold hard facts and numbers, which you are more than glad to dismiss when they don't agree with you.

And considering that the iPhone could never truly multi-task, it isn't really fair to say it was just as fast, because to that extent my TI-85 is just as fast as your iPhone 5s. So obviously, by your logic, Texas Instruments calculators are superior to iPhones.

---" the iphone 5 is as fast as the S4"---

Every iPhone has been noticeably faster than its predecessors. I would expect it to be as they offer new phones once a year. But since Apple doesn't make their own processors , and other manufacturers offer new phones many times a year, I would also expect that a new flagship phone(Samsung for example), will match the iPhone speed within two months. Samsung designs and makes their own chips. Chips that Apple relied heavily on. I suspect that Samsung will have chips twice or three times as fast as the iPhone5s before the next iphone. In fact, Samsung already has claimed rights to an octo processor that will utilize all 8 cores simultaneously.

I hate repeating myself, but, do tech geeks really t...

So, one person has an iphone and another has a S4. In the end, we all put our pants on the same way. And we all get from point A to point B regardless of what device we own.

I agree it doesnt really matter what device you use as long as it does what you need it to and you like it, i find it funny when you get isheep saying android suck, and android fanboys saying iphone sucks(not even realizing they are just like the isheep) then you get WP8 users just sitting on the sideline with there underdog OS,all three a great just depends what you want out of your phone

We all know that a processor that is 64 bit addressees more memory which is one of the reasons its supposed to be faster, but guess Apple forgot to add more processor assessable memory and so that makes a 64 bit processor useless.

we shall se they havent said how many core, what clock speeds are or RAM amount, I agree if they dont put in enough RAM then it will just bottleneck a 64-bit processor, i want the 5S, but i also like the Galaxy Watch, so I'm also thinking about the note 3(its just to big for me) i like the smaller sceen, so if samsung gives a close date for S4 capatibility, thats also a option,
