I agree with you concerning the price point...it's usually best to wait until the new factor wears off and prices come down.
While I disagree with you concerning the reliability of Sprint's network, we'll assume for the sake of argument you're right and discuss why someone would bother. I work with a large group of people who use various networks. I would never make fun of them just because they have something different from what I use.
In my area Tmobile happens to do the job. With fast data, decent phone connection. But when I go indoors the service is non existent. If it wasn't for the fact that my plan is no contract, $70 per month without additional taxes, and they let me bring my own phone I would not be using this service and most likely would be using a contract service.
