Thickness is the most irrelevant dimension

This quest for a phone so thin is only has one side is so absurd because it is accomplished by sacrificing durability and battery life. I have yet to hear someone complain that their smartphone is too thick, yet complaints about short battery life are even more common than the complaints about how the phone failed to survive a minor impact.

Even if the battery life is good it would always be better if that same tech was built into a bigger battery.

Of course when you are at a trade show a phone with an impossibly thin profile will be considered far more flashy and gather more attention than one actually far more suitable for the real world.
