Hands-On: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Gear
Rich Corinthian Leather
But the new functionality looks killer. Multi-window is already awesome, and this makes it moreso. And the scrapbook function is brilliant.

It's funny that a phone marketed to creatives manages to combine so many bad stylistic decisions- even for Samsung, who has a record streak of building really ugly stuff. Fake leather, fake aluminum, and chunky cheap plastic.
What are you talking about? This phone looks exactly like every other smartphone produced in the past 3 years including the entire Samsung Galaxy series. A responsible phone owner is going to put their phone into a protective case anyway so even if you are a fanboy obsessing about some minor difference between a Note and an HTC One the case if going to hide those minor differences anyway.

They used it to cover up for their product's lack of features, such as NFC and so. Metals are a great conductor, so the phone temperature will only conduct better through the back material, metal-sealed phone materials also tend to block some signals. Having this "Quality Feel" doesn't compensate for the lack of features and performace. Plus, take in mind that as soon as you encounter a battery issue you won't be able to replace it yourself. You'll have to spend on service for it. Memory is also a great issue, if the device fails retrieving the information stored is not going to be so easy, even tho' it was stored in t...

Lack of performance. At least with an iPhone you don't have to restart it everyday and apps don't crash.
I have the HTC ONE. I paid a lot of money for it and expect it to have a quality not c*** feel to it.
And how often to iPhone's have battery issues? Its pretty rare if at all.
Memory. Backup everything to your computer. Itunes can back up everything through wifi when you are at home and everything is safe and secure.
And all this is coming from someone who hates the iPhone
Actually, despite your obvious sarcasm, they do. Protest all you like, but NFC will soon be as essential as bluetooth. This is one of the directions technology is going in. And phones that don't have it are seriously gimped.
>> If I have to pay 700 dollars for the device it better be built with quality in mind.
Ya, and quality devices should have NFC.
>>I have the HTC ONE. I paid a lot of money for it and expect it to have a quality not c*** feel to it.
But that's entirely subjective. I tested both the HTC One and Galaxy S IV in the Sprint store and found the quality of the S IV's build to be superior. Not everyone will agree on what a "quality feel" is. But ...

This is just to name a few and not that it's a big deal but it seems like even at the IFA Press Event, they were really pushing the S-Pen and all of it 's functions which they should have done but don't forget the smaller items either. Can't wait till Oct and I get this beast in my paws!!!
