Which means this is what the version numbers would have been if Google had numbered things sensibly:

1.X - Astro
2.X - Bender
3.X - Cupcake
4.X - Donut
5.X - Eclair
6.X - Froyo
7.X - Gingerbread
8.X - Honeycomb
9.X - Ice Cream Sandwich
10.X - JellyBean
11.X - KitKat

There are literally an infinite number of numbers so it isn't as if Google had to conserve them in order not to run out. I know Google doesn't make Firefox, but I find it funny how Google labels major revisions to Android with a tweak to a minor number while Firefox updates the major number of its version anytime they release even the most insignificant update.
