I think the qualities of the active may overpower the need for a 13 megapixel camera. thoughts?

Depends on the individual if your job requires you to be surrounded by water all the time (pool guy, lifeguard, etc.) this phone would be perfect for you.

The only difference is the Active can withstand up to 30 minutes under three feet of water, not to mention a day at the beach plus the camera aqua mode. Other than that is pretty much the same thing.

You cant really tell the difference of the camera unless you blow up the pictures. 8 would look just as good as 13mp on your phone.

I think its pretty silly for Samsung to release these new model Galaxy phones I guess they are for specific targeted demographic of consumers...

Actually, I believe u'll b surprised how may folks will want this ruggizied, water & dust resistant phone. Construction industry, transportation & delivery, outdoor workers & tons of people that are concerned about their phones, but don't always keep close track of them, etc.I have the phone & am very happy with all its features & also really like the looks & apperance of the GS4a, actually looks rugged yet still light, with very clean lines & color combo's. The LCD HD screen has more true colors rather than the oversaturated colors of an Amoled screen & is easier to view n sunlight. Still getting use to 3 buttons (Menu, Home & Return). But it took a little time to get use to the manual Home button on my GS3, once I did I really liked it. ...

Eh? Have you actually taken and looked at the picture quality on the s4? Not impressive, and that's during daylight... forget taking pictures at night... My lumia 920 i still think has the best camera by far. Picture is way more about other features then the MP especially considering most computer screens or tv dont even show much more than 2MP, even if you buy the ultra HD 4k displays they dont come close to showing all those pixels..
