Unless you consider that Blackberry has essentially abandoned its core customers. The lack of physical function keys and a d-pad on the Q10 was a fatal mistake. Gestures are useless on a device like that. All NEC needs to do is clone the Bold/Cure form factor, improve the keyboard and edge buttons a little and put Android 4.2 or better on the next portrait QWERTY they release. A reasonable price point is assumed for an NEC, and if they release it in North America they'll be millions of disenfranchised BB fans waiting.
