S4 Active is not Mil-Spec. Note even close. Dropping this 5" unprotected screen on concrete from 1.2 Meters will equal cracked screen or internal electronic failure. Just like the regular S3 or S4 models.

Intelligent folks will put an Otterbox on the device and whether or not the phone is mil-spec will be moot.
Furthermore, I believe that a Marine Gunnery Sergeant knows what mil-spec is and is not.

Me too. Qualcomm Quadcore 600 Pro + @ 1.9Ghz, with an Adreno 320 GUI & 2 gigs of dual channel ram. Ruggidized, very good, I believe it's a winner.
Actually like the looks, matte finish (not slippery), metalic back, lock screws, etc.
They prob had to go to 8 mega pixel camera to fit one that can take pics underwater, which is fine (lens more important anyway)
And all of the features of the original S4,
hard to beat & @ the same price.!
