More NTP Patents Struck Down

I guess RIM wasn't keen on paying out $440 million dollars.

Technically they still have to under their previous agreement. What NTP had a hard time with was the fact that after this 450 Mil pay out, they had no real claims to the patent. They realize the potential of the idea.
So RIM rolled up their sleeves when NTP was delaying the completion of the agreement and blew away all their patents except for one. If they manage to knock down this last one, then they will file with the court that there is no point to paying out 450 mil when all the patents have been struck down. That is of cource after the NTP appeal all the struck down patents and lose.
What I can't understand is that if RIM could alway do this, why did they take so long? They look like they are in a real strong position right now....
