at&t does indeed offer early upgrades.....I upgraded in July 2012 to a Blackberry 7 device.....and then I upgraded again just two days ago to a Blackberry Z 10...they called it an 'early upgrade' because I was only 10 months into a 24 month contract, but I got the full upgrade pricing. The only thing they said they weren't willing to budge on was the upgrade fee...but when I get my bill I'm calling about the fee, and I'll bet dollars to donuts that I can get it waived... It's true that to qualify for the early upgrade offer you have to have good credit, a spotless record of paying all your bills on time, and it helps to have a certain degree of 'seniority' so to speak and you may have to do a little negotiating to get the agent to agree to it...but it's not impossible.
