But as far as buying phones and then selling them on EBay....well..after I bought it, it's my property, I can do what I want with it.
Yes, many people do abuse the system.....many people never actually pay for phones at all because whenever they are due for an upgrade they call customer care and pretend to be outraged about something and threaten to cancel, and then watch as customer care offers them all kinds of free stuff to stick around.....

When people say they will cancel while talking to me I call their bluff and I say okay here is your ETF's and ask if they want to pay it. If they say yes I cancel their lines eff immediately that way they can't just call back and have their future dated cancel removed and have to go through a credit check and everything else to get service turned back on. Maybe next time they will think twice about using that threat.
