I get dizzy just thinking about the razr coming to verizons network. And they are pushing for years end. đŸ˜ŗ I see Santa making a razr dilivery to my house. 😁

YES!!!!! If they only would!!! I know I would be one of the first in line.

I know some are now carring the treo and alike but I would rather have a small thin phone and have a separate PDA.

(Let us just hope they won't kill the bluetooth OBEX!!!!)

unfortunately, wab, the OBEX profile will undoubtedly be omitted from ANYTHING that verizon approves. this isn't likely to change anytime soon as their corporate thinking is that most people only want bluetooth for wireless headsets and the like and nothing more.

as for it getting out by year's end, i just don't see it. having worked for verizon for some time, i can tell you that even if moto gets it up and running before December, verizon will drag it's feet on approving it...if it EVER gets approved.

i hate it for ya, but it's likely going to play out this way.

Why are you people so obsessed about this razr phone? Number one it is a motorola. I haven't met a motorola I have like. The Moto V120, T720, and T730 were plain horrible. The 260/265 are good for reception but the screens are horrible. The interfaces are ridiculously slow. And the charging blocks on the Motorola's are horrible they never fail to well... fail. Now of course the charging block on the CDMA RAZR will be different. But I can't wait for the Samsung A970. It will have a QVGA screen, Bluetooth, 2-megapixel camera with 2X optical zoom. And as we all know Samsung used the best lens seen on a Verizon phone.

What is the expression? "A fool born every second?" If you have bought that many Motorola phones and plan to buy more without trying one of the great phones that Samsung produces, then me thinks you qualify as one of those
"fools" born every second. The Samsund A970 will outshine the RAZR as long as it has a speakerphone. Why Samsung does not include a speakerphone is something I do not understand.

Who are you talking to guy? Your post makes know sense. If you are referring to joachims post he stated he had the v710 and plans on buying other Motorola's. He never said that he had never bought a Samsung. Why are you calling people fools over their choice of cell phone. The fool thing going on her...

The Samsung A970 doesn't need a speakerphone because it will have bluetooth. And I think that Samsung is out of the speakerphone market.

This is why I love Samsungs P777 / Euro version. The speaker phone is immaculate and is very functional for conference calls at work. I doubt that Samsung will drift from the speaker phone feature, its rather in-expensive to implement in a phone and raises the retail value substantially.

Cingulars Razr is a wonderful phone, very few issues. Im assuming that Verizons version will be very similar, asides from the fact that it is quad band, and from what I have heard Verizon's Int'l calling plans arnt so hot, and nor is thier int'l coverage (could be wrong here) its going to be a hot release. Only draw back is the Nokia 6230 is 1/2 the price right now and has many more features than the Razr has. Fm Radio, Expandable MMC, MP3 Player, Video Recording.. all things the current Razr lacks, possibly Moto will address these issues in their CDMA release.

ahhh..... if your Moto experience has been with the T720 and T730.... that explains a lot... THEY WERE TERRABLE!!!! All though I did like that ringer on the T720 "You have an incoming call." It was neat and different.

I'm sure anyone here that is on VZW and has the V710 thinks it is a drastic improvement over T720/730.(Espically if you have flashed it with the SD02 flash or done the seem edit to the VZW flash upgrade.) 😁

Well put muchdrama.

It's old news in the gsm world (and has been for a while). The price on Cingular is under $200 now. It was $500 when it came out which shows what it has left. Personally I never like the phone anyway but that doesn't mean it wasn't agood phone for some.

CDMA customers should have been begging for this phone a while ago. And unless Moto adds to the feature set I don't see it being anything but another late arrival for CDMA. Espeically when Bluetooth is destoyed...

You will have your verizon razr but obex you will not. Lets just be happy with with verizon getting the razr and not start a obex war. 😎

I'm hoping Sprint will rock the RAZR... but they always get the Palm products first... so that won't happen..

No need to start a obex war but it doesn't mean people should compain about verizon stripping out obex and other profiles.

Probably won't change anything though ☚ī¸

Of course the will kill the bluetooth OBEX (especially on Verizon's version). Why would Verizon want to give you freedom to use your phone? They did it with the Moto V710, no doubt the razr will be the same.

Seems to me that Verizon doesn't carry all that many moto phones anyways... and besides (atleast in califronia) the moto's don't get the same reception as the LG's or Samsung's. It's quite the opposite with cingular and GSM however, Moto's get EXCELLENT Reception on cingular's/tmo's network, but the LG's and samsungs are sh**y in comparison. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but from what I hear from my friends at verizon they sell many more LG/Samsung phones than they do moto's for tha very reason. Maybe that's why? I dunno.... I agree with muchdrama tho.. they should scrap the razr for verizon and get something new.... the whole 'WOW' effect is kind of gone for the razr....... Verizon should get an exclusive for something li...
