Sprint Says iDEN Shutdown On Schedule for June 30
FINALLY!
I wonder how long it will take to get LTE up and running nationwide on 800mhz.
They should get the ball rolling with LTE faster once they cut the cost to keep IDEN network active plus the spectrum necessary to do so.
If the Softbank buy out goes through as planned Sprint is going to be making some big strides soon. 🙂

I live in Hartford County, Connecticut,
heard LTE is being put up here, Bridgeport also.
Also, Sprint's added 1900 MHz came from NEXTEL.
Also, most of Clearwire's 2.5 GHz came from NEXTEL.
Given Sprint's history of never actually finishing their network upgrades nationwide, it'll be a miracle if your hoped-for improvements in Sprint's networks actually materialize. As a long-time Sprint-Nextel customer I hope they make it, but experience has taught me to be guarded where Sprint's execution & follow-through is concerned.
