You won't see this frequency used for quite some time

It's exciting that Sprint will have 800Mhz LTE - but it probably won't appear until the first quarter of 2014.


Still, any progress is good progress. I hope Sprint gets the funds they need - keeps the unlimited data and go to town on the other carriers.

Rebanded SMR 800 MHz is already in use for CDMA1X 800 in several markets and has been for over six months now.

As for LTE 800, it will appear in some markets before the end of the year -- basically, when tri band LTE 800/1900 + TD-LTE 2600 devices start to arrive.
