just because they are expanding their gophone coverage to hspa+ and LTE doesnt mean that you will be able to use an iphone on it. it was never a 4g thing it has always been a policy that the iphone is not allowed to access their prepaid network.

While every pre-paid phone works on a post-paid account, not every post-paid phone will work on a pre-paid account. Is the iPhone used on a prepaid account anywhere?

Doesn't Virgin Mobile have the "Fruit Phone"? Aren't they prepaid. Cricket has it too.

It was a policy that no iPhones were allowed on prepaid... last year. Now they're allowed on GoPhone service, but before yesterday they only worked with talk/text, no data. Now they work with talk, text and data.
The only phones not supported on prepaid now are BlackBerrys, and (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that's because BlackBerry services are optimized for each specific network and don't work well when transferring from network to network, even if it's just postpaid to prepaid on the same network. So you could still use it, it just wouldn't work right.

I'll look at cnet or engadget when I want some specific bit of news, but usually I just look through Phonescoop while I'm working. When I was training for my job, Phonescoop was their recommendation for a site to use to get phone specs and compare phones, and I'll say it's the best site I've found for US phones. The only information I wish they gave extra was whether a phone uses a regular SIM or microSIM.
I also went on androidforums.com when I had an Android phone.

To my knowledge only all the new current ATT phones use micro SIM, phones through Tmobile even the current ones use the larger sim. Micro sim I think is a ATT only thing to stop phone swapping between Tmobile and ATT. I may be wrong but that is what I picked up since only ATT uses a micro sim for their phones. I have had a Note 2 and Galaxy S3 from ATT both use micro SIM while the versions from Tmobile use regular sim.

There's at least a few microSIM phones on T-mobile. (nexus 4, HTC ONE, LG Optimus L9). I'm sure plenty more I don't know about. My guess is most new phones are microSIM or nanoSIM.
Don't expect there should be many full sized SIM phones coming out anywhere.

Who cares, the IPhone is a cult phone.
People who have the IPhone aren't induviduals, their just the same as everyone else.

While I do believe that Apple fans can get creepy about their products, using an iPhone hardly qualifies as abandoning your individuality. I don't have one, but it is a very capable phone that does a lot of things, and when it comes to me I am confident enough in myself to not care whether I am alone or among billions when it comes to something I like. In this issue it's even sillier because it's just a freaking phone.
