Yes it is a shame that Sprint cant activate unlocked phones. However I understand the discrepancy that they have with unlocked phones. Keep in mind that they have different network frequencies that are optimized for their network. The unlocked phone would need to be sold to support those networks for it to be useful on Sprint or any other carrier for that matter. You are paying a premium price for service on all carriers might as well get a phone that is designed and optimized for said network.

Yea, I just want the stock android experience with out having to install Cyanogen Mod and hope for a stable release. My problem with Nexus devices is that they have usually been middle of the road. If they made a really high-end device with pure Android, that would be the device for me. Oh, and it would also need a 5.5 "- 6" screen, a stylus, and a gynormous battery. Then that would the device for me. With its 5" screen, the GS4 is the closest thing with pure Android. I'd certainly consider it, but alas it won't come to Sprint with stock Android.

This can't come to Sprint & Verizon because these operators do not use R-UIM cards. We use them in India, China, Japan, Korea South, Indonesia & Hong Kong

Yea but they could put native Android on the Sprint hardware if they really wanted to. They just won't, and I get why. But that doesn't make it suck any less, especially considering the existence of this variant of the phone.
