Something needs to be done. I'm sick of coming up behind a vehicle in traffic, weaving, brake lights constantly flashing, going below the speed limit, and 90% of the time you pass them and they have a phone glued to their face.

Though what I saw this weekend takes the cake, on one of the Chicago area 5 lane expressways, granted it was around midnight so traffic was pretty light. Come up on this red Cadillac in far left lane going below speed limit, brake lights constantly flashing, get up beside him, and I truly couldn't believe what I saw. This jackwagon, a middle aged male, had a damn Ipad mounted on his steering wheel and was watching a damn movie, earbuds in and everything! I didn't want to believe my eyes. This kind of behavior...

I almost had a car drive head-on into me when I was turning into a drive way one day. Idiot woman driver had a cell phone up in her face. I don't care, I drove up to within an inch or her car and forced her to reverse to get out of my way... where am I, England? (Note, I am not in England), and I proceeded to give her an earful when she went around me.

Its dangerous, it's stupid, it is one of the worst forms of negligent driving. I would love if they did here what they do in australia for people convicted of drunk driving - You get a nice, BRIGHT PINK license plate. So everybody around you, EVERYBODY knows you were charged with drunk driving.

(such as woman drive + cell phone use) would equal better driving skills.

I have made it a habit to honk whenever I see people who do this kind of stuff on the freeway... That is just too much I wonder what compels them to watch a movie while operating a vehicle... This should be one of those things that is just as bad as getting a DUI. Just to get the point across.

Video is tempting, but that guy was especially bad. I recently upgraded my truck radio to a DVD-capable unit, but the video circuitry was locked out and required I hook up some extra wires so that it would only work while the emergency brake is on. So since I didn't want to screw around with my parking brake wiring and since this also disabled important things like the ability to setup bluetooth I found a module on Amazon that tricks the player into thinking the emergency brake is constantly on so that it will enable these features. I was testing with a DVD, got it working, and then immediately had to go to work. I left the DVD play to test it in a real world drive and had no intention of watching it, but the temptation to take a peek wa...

There was a post that was on a news website that was taken down very quickly awhile back. I remember it was in Minnesota and it was about an NBA basketball player. He had a dashboard mounted DVD player and was watching porn movies. Lo and behold the LOSER crashed his SUV through a front store window while you guessed it !"X@*! himself. People, if that is what they can be called in this case and any other distracted driving circumstances, need to have special license plates on their vehicles that single them out once cited for any such infraction. That way good drivers can steer clear of them.

LOL I know what you mean. There is a reason this is not legal. You cant have video playback devices open while driving at least in California they will pull you over the second they see that bright display even if its on your dash. However its fine if you are using it for GPS.

I understand the idea of having TV's in your car for those long road trips where everyone else not driving would like to have some sort of entertainment (such as the kids) but I mean the driver, its in the title drive and dont put everyone else at risk.
