This was the single greatest tool ever produced by Google. It was available before most browsers were capable of displaying web content. It was, until the moment they shut it down, faster than any web browser for finding information.
It was available to anyone with a cell phone and text plan.

I am sad and disappointed that this incredible feature is gone.

Even on a smartphone... keep the number in your contact list, it's faster to send a text than it is to open a browser, go to a page, and enter a search.
