I don't even know what to say except that you have committed a reading comprehension fail...

There is nothing in THIS LAW which says that carriers are forbidden from locking phones..this bill does not outlaw carriers locking phones, and does not demand that all phones be immediately unlocked.

Sure, if they wanted to they could outlaw locking phones, they could even pass a law forbidden mobile carriers from charging for their service and requiring that mobile service be free, they could also pass a law saying that all mobile carriers in the country and going to be nationalized and owned by the state. They could hypothetically do whatever the hell they want.


However, they are NOT GOING TO do any of those things.


This bill is useless and completely symbolic.
