Android on Nokia hardware would ROCK.

They should do another line with Android as the OS. I mean, what harm would there be, and it could sell like hotcakes. I remember how good my old Nokia phones were back in the day, we could use some smartphones with good radios on the market now!

😎

There's room in the market for more than Android and iPhones. There are only two things holding Windows 8 back: a lack of apps, and the bad taste most people have from trying Windows 8 on a desktop/laptop first. It's an amazing smartphone OS, though, and the more people who use it, the more apps that will be developed.

I had a chance to try out the Lumia 810 and the HTC Windows phone 8X before we began selling them, and they are top of the line solid devices. The build quality specifically of the nokia was through the roof, everything about the phone screamed "amazing". Feels good in your hand, solid, high-build quality as we have come to expect from Nokia.

The only thing I will say is I see alot of issues with 920 on our end here, enough to say I think it is a troublesome phone.

It has nothing to do with Windows 8.....people are reluctant because of the bad taste in their mouths from Windows Mobile....which at one was the biggest smartphone OS.....but deflated because of stability problems.

Maybe some people who are "in the know" about cell phones and their history. Personally, most people I've talked to about it have said things like "I heard Windows 8 sucked" or "I tried Windows 8 and didn't like it", referring to the desktop/laptop version. Sure, Windows Mobile is what put Windows behind the curve so to speak, but I doubt it's on the average consumers' mind now.

Anyone who is smart enough to even know that Windows 8 and 8 on the PC are the same thing is already in the top 1% as far as knowledge of tech is concerned....

And the hatred of Windows 8 is ridiculous......90% of it comes from people who have never used it and who don't even know how it differs from Windows 7....they're just repeating stuff they've heard from others....I've been using Windows 8 on the PC since May 2012.....there's absolutely nothing wrong with it...the only significant difference is the lack of a 'start button'.....and even that can be fixed if you really want a start button (but you don't need it and it really works better without it)
