Guess Sprint will need a new bogeyman to blame their woes and lackluster performance on once the iDEN network is shutdown.

Their old CDMA network will be the new scapegoat.

Talk about garbage!.....

Once Sprint finally merges the Nextel spectrum with their still growing LTE network, things will look a whole lot better with Sprint.
More spectrum for LTE, the better, same with Tmobile.

I just can't get believe how rare it is that Sprint announces new LTE markets. If Tmobile intends to cover 100m by mid-year they will be announcing a whole lot of markets real soon.

You're right Jay, they will. I'm not saying they will, or the markets, or that they will actuially or ever be making an anouncement, but yes, they will, and you're right. Right about them possibly, maybe, sometime soon, sometime later, in the future ( not the past) maybe possibly soon anouncing new markets. Perhaps.

Its already announced on their website. The fact that people dont have patience and or dont want to take the time to look up that information themselves makes people think that they are not doing anything right?

Just like Verizon and ATT they slowly buy surely announced 4G LTE cities. Verizon has a 2 year lead on LTE so that is why they cover so many cities.

As far as Tmobile goes... Well they are very deceptive kinda like they make you think that you are going to get LTE by mid year LOL. Dont think so honestly. I am have been with Tmobile for too long to know that if it sounds too good to be true... well you know.

they can use the 800mhz spectrum for LTE which is good for Sprint. The bad thing-- it takes some time and not many people like Sprint anymore as evident by their quarterly numbers.

Yeah, the best earnings in five years really lends itself to the notion of failure.

Thank you Mr. Anonymous for clarifying this.

they have had massive write offs, awful numbers, and other bad metrics.. they arent doing very well at all. they are a struggling company needing to be helped by either dish or softbank. Clearwire is sucking them dry.

Theyre supposed to announce a slew of new markets in June. LTE here in San Diego County has been up and down for about a month and a half, but they never even announced a soft launch.

Yes, there are many cities testing 4G LTE and some of this information can be found on the website but its unofficial. The official cities have been announced on their website.

Yes, Sprint's "old" CDMA network was garbage--in 2005.

Still waiting for the new Razor to come out?

I talk to sprint customers almost every day, and the majority of them sound like crap. Sounds like they are speaking through a tin can in outer space. Horrible horrible quality. This is consistent, and I always ask them which carrier they are using, and the answer 90% of the time is Sprint.

they at least had the balls to talk crap about our data speeds and say they want to bring the speeds up to par with what they have.

Then there's this, from Dish CEO Ergen:

"Ergen said Thursday that one of his priorities for a combined Dish-Sprint is to improve its cellular coverage. He doesn't use a Sprint phone now because it doesn't provide a signal in the smaller communities he visits. 'Even if I was given Sprint (service) for free, I wouldn't use it because it doesn't work everywhere I go. Obviously Verizon, and to a lesser degree AT&T, work just about anywhere you go,' Ergen said."
