T-Mobile and MetroPCS Officially Tie the Knot

Well you could buy and carry a prepaid Verizon feature phone when you have no coverage. Prepaid minutes are good for 90 days after purchase.

They actually did not make their "un-carrier" change until recently. So I doubt this had any impact on Q1 numbers. What helped them was MPCS at same time was losing subs. The past few years MPCS has been stealing TMO and SPCS subs. Recently MPCS stopped growing as they reached max capacity. I see TMO's strategy going bye, bye. It makes no sense. Once MPCS opens up in TMO markets there is absolutely no reason I would go with the convoluted "un-carrier" BS they are selling. I would go with MPCS simple package. Is someone really going to pay more for the TMO brand?? I don't think so.
Regardless of strategy point is the guy is a tool. He is doing more harm than good to the company.
Also, yeah.. surprisingly, there are many people who will pay more just for the T-Mobile brand even if their service is not the greatest. I agree with you, brand loyalty is really not logical, for pretty much any brand.
I remember talking to people who were loyal to the car brand Pontiac, even though they had sub-par quality and bad prices, and sub-par styling. It doesnt matter how good or bad it is, it matters who likes it, and lots of people do.

Dude...the GTO, Firebird, Trans AM, and the Solstice were awesome.
Nice car, but not in the class as earlier Pontiac cars. I think his point was that Pontiac went from GTO, Firebird and Trans AM to the Grand Prix, Grand AM and the Montana! Ugh.
Basically brand will get you only so far and quite honestly TMO does not have the best brand to begin with. MPCS already showed they can steal customers from TMO and that was with less coverage on MPCS network!!! I do remember the Isuzu and the Honda Passport. Same exact cars made on same exact plant. In fact you open hood of Honda Passport it had sticker that it was made by Isuzu. Funny thing was that Honda sold almost 4x what Isu...

The New GTO's drive platform was terrible, the rear-wheel drive platform they used was ancient when they produced the first new GTO, and much power is lost through the drivetrain. More then most other RWD cars. There were a few nice Firebird and TransAM models (the ones without the 3.8L V6), as far as the solstice goes, the ECU (engine computer) had a huge problem, it would get really hot and burn itself out, it was not tethered down properly in the engine bay. If you have access to a solstice, pop the hood and touch the board, it will move inside the harness, a very, very bad thing.
The old GTOs, however, were beautiful muscle cars.

I like the new T-mobile. I was very impressed with the first quarter. We shall see if it continues since this business model is much better than the 2 year contract business model. We'll have to see what CPGA is.
