Edge????

I don't see anything stating the phone will have edge....just gprs...can anybody confirm either way???

There's no reference to EDGE in the specs on HP's site, which are quite extensive, so I have assume no EDGE.

Why would they not put EDGE on these devices? It doesn't make any sense to me.

not many smart phones have edge. don't know why, but i cant think of any Window's mobile phone with edge

I can't think of any either. Too bad. The MPx that Motorola decided not to mass produe didn't have it either. In tests the sx66 actually loaded web pages better than the Treo 650 on Cingular. Better browser technology...Blazer kinda sucks.

If that's the case, than it's poor planning on Cingular and HP's part. How long has EDGE been available now? Aren't we moving to UMTS? C'mon HP, get your damn act together.

I guess they can cut corners like that when you've got wifi. When discussing high speed internet, I'd much rather surf at a hotspot than over the network, even if it were edge.

Me too. But to offer such a high tech device on Cingular's network and NOT implement EDGE? Poor planning.

My sources say that the iPAQs will both have EDGE, look for this when Cing starts putting the word out.
