I am surprised Blackberry is still alive... They are so late on everything and their latest tech is mediocre at best compared to everyone else.

Given that they have never released a phone with a front facing camera before, and therefore neither a need nor a use for a Skype app, the fact that it only took about a month to six weeks to get Skype added to the app store actually IS pretty fast and responsive..,,,,'

By comparison it took more than a year to get a Skype app for Windows Phone, and Microsoft fricking OWNS Skype...

They own it, but the Skype developers operate independently, for the most part. You would think that MS would have had them make it a priority to make the app for WP before anyone else. The other thing you have to consider too, it took them time to get everything transitioned over from the buyout.

I'm sure there's lots of reasons for the delay but integrating Skype into Windows Phone was one of the 2-3 biggest reasons why Microsoft wanted the company.....by contrast Skype apps for iPhone and Android arrived fairly quickly....

True. However, Skype may have already been working on Android and iPhone versions prior to the purchase. Windows Phone version probably wasn't even thought about before that.
