Why don't they just quit?

If they're going to cut so many services that people like and use, why don't they just shut down altogether?

If it was popular on feature phones they wouldn't be cutting it.....feature phones don't really have any kind of future I don't think,the time will come when all phones will be smartphones, and it will probably be sooner than we know.

Elderly people are going to be quite pissed when they have to get a smartphone that will come up the expensive data plans.

It wasn't all that long ago that elderly people were opposed to electricity and indoor plumbing....if there is one thing that is certain in life it is that technology will continue to advance and those who oppose it will be left behind....

I don't think it has anything to do with age....it has more to do with stubbornness and refusal to learn new things...I know plenty of people in their 20's who are far more 'anti-tech than some 80-90 years olds I know...I hope I never get to the point where I'm happy with everything the way it is and never want to learn anything new, no matter how small...

What I was really inferring was elderly people living on fixed incomes. They don't really have the income to be forking out for phones and their service fees that exceed their needs.

They can piggyback as secondary lines on their kids wireless accts, it's only $10 for additional lines.

Yep, eventually sr citizens will be the only ones with feature phones.

We're getting closer to smartphone's & tablets being affordable, even off contact.

But if your not on Sprint or T-Mobile, a decent, usable amount of data is very, very expensive.
