Don't take it with a grain of salt.

If there is actuially a rebate offered, when the device price / availability is updated on WWW.T-MOBILE.COM, the $50.00 rebate will be listed on that website when you are moving to purchase the phone.

If you don't see it listed on T-Mobile.com (again, once they update availability and price), then there will be no rebate offered.

Any idea how to disable "SafeSearch" on m.Google.com?
I already called customer service and had them disable
webguard on my acct,... my experience on a T-Mobile smartphone isn't the same as it is on my Verizon smartphone.

Seemed like they axed off any ideas of rebates when they went to no contracts.

Ordering online or over the phone will save me the cost of the stupid activation fee compared to buying it in store.

Thats not true either.

You are charged an activation fee for a new line based on your RATE PLAN, not based on the activation location. If it states on the website it is waived, then it would be waived. However, based on your rate plan, if you activate over the phone, and a fee is applicable, you will be charged. It does not matter your account type either. It matter specifically which rate plan you are on.

The rate plan I would be on with T-Mobile would be the Unlimited talk/text/web plan for $70/mo.

Would I be able to get activation waived at a store
with that rate plan?

Rate plan for your information request is the Individual Value Unlimited Talk & Text, Rate plan Code UTTVN.
Add-on to the plan is Truly Unlimited Data, $20.00 (making the total $70.00)

The answer is yes 🙂

That specific rate plan has Auto-Waived activation fees.

I'd go with that one if I were you, yes. Great plan.

Even in a store?

All I pay is down payment + full- retail tax and walk out?

Yes - even in a store.

If they try to charge you an activation fee in the store, or if you see it on your first bill, Call customer care.
This will definately surprise the agent you speak to, if you do, but Reference T-community Document #19136

Tell the agent to check the "Requirements" for this rate plan.

I'm looking at them right now, It states:
Requirements:
No Annual Contract.
No activation fee.

As soon as the care agent sees that, if you were charged one, they will waive it. If they don't, ask for them to speak to BUSINESS CARE (my department) and a BC agent will gladly waive it for you.

However, the way its set up, you shouldn't be charged one in the first place.

Yup thats right, all you pay is downpayment...

I've never heard of the $99 price point being applied to the Galaxy S 4. It applied to some other phones, like the current deal for the iPhone 5 16GB, but not every phone. Each and every phone is different.
